i knew that Elke was not just a fine singer but also a very good Rhythm-guitarist, so it was easy for us to switch back to acoustic- just two guitars.
The first result of recording with THE CHERRYCHORDS was a 6-track CD, produced by the well-known Ray Austin, a musical legend all around Freiburg. He was a folk singer since the early 70s and wrote many classics, like his hometown-trademark HALIFAX and other great stuff. His style was very traditional- if not to say ‘old-fashioned’. On this record it was the right thing to do for songs like HOWLING AT THE MOON, OOH LAS VEGAS and an acoustic version of MISS CLOUDY.
The CD was intended for promotion, as well as for selling at our shows- and the latter did really well.
