The loss of our drummer Peter was the next big disappointment. But Elke and i decided to continue the band thing- in finding the best players for the job. We ended with Jean on bass and Pascal, who offered to manage us too, on drums.
Finally we had a good time again- for a rather short period.
Making these recordings were very difficult, we were switching from studio to studio and it took a long time to get it.
The production is maybe the best of all band-recordings and we finally made a tracklist of 6 songs including MISS CLOUDY, which was next to EVOLUTION COUNTDOWN our -or everybody else’s- favourite track.
When our drummer/manager Pascal decided to release the CD with only 4 songs, omitting MISS CLOUDY i was really furious and angry about it.

Elke and me had soon enough with it. We’ve been working so hard…for little results.
It was time do do something different – to cool down. So we set up THE CHERRYCHORDS.

Looking back, POISON TONIGHT seems a bit like the second version of HELLCAT, a straight rock record, certainly a little more advanced and also with some musical highlights. We could use a real Hammond B3 Organ as well as a grand piano for the first time, and there are some great guitar sounds, too. The overall feel was both rebellious and melancholic- and live, the band was a very tight, hard rocking unit, but all in all it was our swansong moment. i don’t think we sold more than a few copies of that CD- which is a collector’s item now, like all others.
In 2019, our former drummer Pascal re-released POISON TONIGHT in its original version as a split-Mini CD. Better late than never;-)
