SOMETIMES WE’RE ANGELS / A PLACE TO HIDE Studio-Demo 2008

In the year 2008 everything got a little out of control. After recording these 2 songs we felt to do something else again. This demo showed us at a most polished and rather mediocre way, without any edges. Maybe to do Ray a favour, we let him do what he thought was right. He then decided to produce the whole record with a young girl singer instead, with us as players and co-writers…maybe we were to old…?!?
At that time Elke and i joined the legendary Freiburg Underground-Band LIQUID LAUGHTER LOUNGE QUARTET for a brief period and made a Mini-LP with them (not included here). This was quite the opposite to Ray’s accurate production, with a band who was famous for a dark, sinister, sick, liquor-driven ‘twang’-sound, like on a David Lynch-Soundtrack. It didn’t last long, either. Finally, Elke and me were not into heavy drinking;-)
