With no doubt, this is the definitive CHERRYCHORDS record.
A good friend of ours, bass player of ATOMIC RODEO, a band where i also played some Guitar and Pedal Steel, bought a new recording device and needed us to try it out. The result was great: Elke and i played and sang live, vis-a-vis in one microphone.
Maybe the highlight on this album was the closing-track I JUST CLOSE MY EYES, one of three Myspace-collaborations with Kim Dalessandro (the wife of Andy Warhol-Actor Joe) from LA, who delivered the lyrics and telling us about the music: ‘that would be your job’;-)
Some very fine versions of introspective, folky songs like HAND ME A LAST SONG, FALLING and BLUE HOUR were also included. i remember we had a jolly good time these days, it all came out very naturally.
